Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do online lessons work, and what gear do I need?
All lessons are conducted 1-on-1 over Google Meet. All you need is your guitar, a stable internet connection, and a computer, tablet, or phone with a working webcam and microphone. You don’t need any complicated audio interfaces or studio gear to get started, basic built-in microphones work fine.
2. Do I need an acoustic or an electric guitar?
You can start with whichever you currently have, but here is how the curriculum is structured:
- Guitar 1 (Units 1–15): The material is designed around the acoustic guitar to build foundational finger strength, clean open chord transitions, and solid rhythm mechanics.
- From Unit 16 Onward: Overdrive, distortion, and lead soloing become the primary focus. At this stage, having an electric guitar is strongly recommended to optimize your sound, sustain, and expressive techniques like bends and vibrato.
- Going Forward: The curriculum intentionally balances both acoustic and electric repertoire across multiple styles. In the long run, having access to both instruments is ideal, but for your first sessions, start with whatever guitar you already own.
3. How does the €50 first lesson credit work?
Your first 50-minute session serves as a diagnostic assessment. I evaluate your current level, identify technical habits holding you back, and give you immediate practice material. If you decide to continue, the entire €50 fee is deducted from the package you select (Monthly, Quarterly, or Bi-Annually). If you decide not to continue, you only pay for that single session with no further obligation.
4. What happens if I need to reschedule a lesson?
Life gets in the way, I know. As long as you give me at least 24 hours’ notice, I will gladly reschedule your session to another open slot within the validity period of your package. Because each lesson slot is reserved exclusively for you, cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice cannot be rescheduled or refunded.

5. I’m a complete beginner. Is this suitable for me?
Yes, absolutely. In fact, starting as a complete beginner is often a major advantage, you have a clean slate with zero bad physical habits or awkward muscle memory to unlearn. My Guitar 1 module is designed specifically for students starting from absolute zero. I guide you step-by-step through the essentials right from day one. You learn everything the right way from the ground up, avoiding the frustrating roadblocks that self-taught players usually hit.
6. I’ve been playing for a while and feel stuck. Where do I start?
You don’t have to start from square one. In our first session, I evaluate your playing to diagnose your exact technical bottlenecks, whether that’s awkward picking mechanics, stiff rhythm, or gaps in theory. We skip what you have already mastered and place you directly into the curriculum where you need the most work, so you can start breaking through that plateau from day one.
7. How much time do I need to practice each week?
Consistency matters far more than occasional marathon sessions. Setting aside 20 to 30 minutes a day (or 3 to 4 focused sessions a week) using the video tabs and backing tracks I provide is plenty to see continuous, measurable progress. Just keep in mind: don’t expect to turn into a guitar hero overnight without putting in the work.
8. How does the WhatsApp support work between lessons?
Whenever you hit a sticking point during home practice, whether a chord transition feels clumsy or you want a quick check on your vibrato, you can send a short video or audio clip directly to my WhatsApp. I review your technique and give you actionable feedback so you don’t spend an entire week practicing a mistake.
